Lynne C. Schaefer holds a MBA in Finance from Wayne State University. She currently serves as interim President and CEO of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). In her role as chief business officer at UMBC, she oversaw operations that exceeded $450 million. After serving as VP for Finance & Administration at Oakland University and Budget Director at Wayne State University, she then began a new career. Lynne began a new path in her career in government for the state of Michigan, working in government in the Governor’s Office, under the Depts. Of Management, Budget & Treasury and serving as the President of the Michigan Education Trust. Lynne is an active UU of over 25 years and is an member of Channing Memorial Church in Ellicott City, Maryland. In her congregation, she holds many volunteer positions and served on the ministerial search committee.
