Effective April 1, 2022, Joy Berry will serve as Interim Director of the Fahs Collaborative. Joy has served as Assistant Director since 2017 with Dr. Mark Hicks, Angus MacLean Professor of Religious Education, and Founder and Director of the Fahs Collaborative.
“Mark and I have collaborated wildly in the sacred work of our shared vision for the last five years: faith formation for all as the soul and center of Unitarian Universalism. I sincerely hope to continue the vision and the good work that Mark has poured himself into while he recovers.” Dr. Hicks is currently on sick leave following unexpected health challenges. The Leadership Team is very grateful to Joy for stepping in to help during this critical time.
As a congregational religious educator for a decade, Joy brings an awareness of on-the-ground challenges and has a commitment to creating and supporting innovative strategies that center justice, liberation, and multigenerational learning. She holds an MA in Sociology from the University of Arkansas.
The Fahs Collaborative is a pedagogical innovation hub that helps people develop their faith in service to living a values-driven life. More information on the Fahs Collaborative and their signature programs, including Beloved Conversations, can be found at Fahs Collaborative's webpages.
