Participants will explore the formative experiences—familial\, cultural\, and religious—that shaped their current beliefs and behavior around money\, worth\, and ministry. DESCRIPTION:<< Back to LIGHT Events\n \n \n\n	Supervision Connection: Research and Practice\n\n March 16\n @\n12:00 pm\n –\n1:00 pm\n	\nDo you supervise others as part of your ministry? What makes for a “good” supervisee/supervisor relationship? How does this component affect formation for ministry? Rev. Jules Taylor shares their research on the landscape of supervision practices\, focusing especially on supervision with ministerial interns. Across multiple traditions\, ministerial formation includes a supervised ministry (i.e. internship) component\, and the relationship between supervisee and supervisor cannot be overlooked as a component to learning. This workshop shows what all supervisors can learn by thinking about formation and education as part of the work of supervision. The session will include both discussion and an opportunity for internship supervisors to participate in a research study. \n \n register on populi\n \n \n\nRev. Taylor has been working with seminarians since 2009 as the initial coordinator of the In Care\, In Covenant program of the (then) Metro NY District of the Unitarian Universalist Association\, and an adjunct professor at the Starr King  Ministry and Eden Theological Seminary. \n\nEveryone needs help sometimes! \n25% off: VHJVHSDYPZ4T\nEveryone deserves access to theological education! \n50% off: LN9XRBYLQNEY\n \n register on populi\n \n\n	Categories:\n LIGHT Courses\n\n	\n	Add to calendar	\n \n	\n \n\n\n	Google Calendar\n\n\n	iCalendar\n\n\n	Outlook 365\n\n\n	Outlook Live\n\n\n\n\n\n\n March UU Spiritual Direction Book Discussion	\n\n\n	\n April UU Spiritual Direction Book Discussion

DESCRIPTION:<< Back to LIGHT Events\n \n \n\n	May UU Spiritual Direction Book Discussion\n\n May 13\n @\n2:00 pm\n –\n3:30 pm\nCDT\n	\n \nThe Tears of Things: Prophetic Wisdom for an Age of Outrage \nby Richard Rohr (2025) \nWe close the year with a book wrestling honestly with prophecy\, lament\, anger\, contemplation\, and public life. Rohr explores what spiritual wisdom asks of us in an era marked by polarization and exhaustion. This feels like an appropriate concluding conversation for spiritual directors living and serving in complex times. \n \n Zoom link\n \n \n Book Discussion Main Page\n \n\n	Categories:\n LIGHT Courses\n\n	\n	Add to calendar	\n \n	\n \n\n\n	Google Calendar\n\n\n	iCalendar\n\n\n	Outlook 365\n\n\n	Outlook Live\n\n\n\n\n\n\n April UU Spiritual Direction Book Discussion
