Kirstin is the student representative to the Board.
Kirstin has been a part-time student at Meadville Lombard since the fall of 2020 and plans to graduate in May 2025. Prior to starting her internship at First UU of Richmond VA last fall, she spent twenty years working in nonprofit fundraising and marketing. Most recently, she has been a fundraising consultant, grant writer, and developmental editor. Kirstin has a BA in English from Lenoir-Rhyne College and did postgraduate work in Comparative Literature at Vanderbilt University in the early 2000s. Kirstin has lived in Florida, Puerto Rico, North Carolina, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Virginia. She and her spouse settled in central Virginia, near Charlottesville, in 2007. She was raised Southern Baptist and found Unitarian Universalism at the First UU Church of Nashville in 2004. Kirstin’s household includes her spouse of 24 years, Paul, two sons, Xander (14) and Gideon (11), and a dog named Luna. She likes to garden, knit and journal in her free time.
