Rev. Chris Jimmerson, MDiv '14, is a co-lead minister at the First UU Church of Austin, TX.

Rev. Chris Jimmerson (pronouns he/him) currently lives in Austin, TX with his spouse of over 30 years, Wayne, and their two extremely spoiled Basenji dogs, Louisa May Alcott and Benjamin Franklin. Before entering ministry, Chris worked for many years in non-profit work, organizing, and activism involving anti-racism, anti-oppression, immigration, HIV/AIDS, LGBTQI+, women’s rights, and more. This dedication to social action and social change still nourishes and informs his ministry. He has served the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin since April 2014. The church called Chris as a lead minister in October 2023. He is a graduate of the Meadville Lombard Theological School M.Div. program. Chris is dedicated to Unitarian Universalism and enjoys a rich spiritual life through writing, nature photography, and other spiritual practices.
