Jonathan joined the ML staff in June 2024.
Jonathan Shotwell lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his husband and their two shih-poo pups. After earning a Master of Divinity at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, he served as a spiritual formation director across denominational affiliations. Jonathan and his partner opened and operated Books & Mortar, a proudly progressive independent bookstore in Grand Rapids. Additionally, he has experience as a college recruiter and campus visit coordinator for Aquinas College, a refugee sponsorship coordinator for the largest social service agency in Michigan, and most recently, a chaplain and spiritual formation director at Park Church, UCC in Grand Rapids, MI. He is passionate about using the enneagram, and this fall, he is completing a three-year teacher certification in The Narrative Enneagram tradition. When not working, you'll find Jonathan at his cabin in Michigan's upper peninsula, enjoying kayaking, hiking, biking, and reading.
