The Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree program at Meadville Lombard is designed to prepare students to enter the ministry. We are a Unitarian Universalist (UU) seminary, but encourage ministerial aspirants of other faith traditions seeking ground-breaking formation experiences with world-class faculty to consider our MDiv degree program.

Meadville Lombard's MDiv program is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and satisfies the requirements of the Ministerial Fellowship Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Association.

The MDiv degree program consists of 30 units that are anchored by our three Signature Courses: Community Studies, Congregational Studies, and Leadership Studies. The Signature Courses are multi-unit, interdisciplinary courses that integrate practical field work and seminar learning. In addition to the Signature Courses, students meet their total unit requirements by taking 3 units of CPE and 16 traditional academic courses.

Full-time students can plan on completing the MDiv degree in three years; part-time students can plan on completing the program in four to six years, depending on the time they can put toward the degree program.
