Carol Groppe Carol Groppe has attended Unitarian Universalist churches for many years beginning in Kansas City, Missouri, with her grandmother. After she met Henry at First Unitarian, Houston, where Horace Westwood married them, she overcame her distrust of organized religion and became a member. She served on the board and taught religious education there. Currently a member of Emerson Unitarian Church, she has chaired the annual canvass and was President of the Women's Alliance. For four years she and Henry have co-chaired the UU President's Council. Carol is a UU-United Nations envoy in Houston and has been a member of the United Nations Association of USA for thirty-five years. She has served two terms as President of the UNA Houston Chapter and chairs the Board of Governors, Houston area model United Nations. Carol and Henry have three daughters, two sons, and seven grandchildren. |
