Stanley D. Christianson
Stan,
a long time resident of the Chicago area, has been a member of the
First Unitarian Church in Hobart, Indiana since 1974. He has
served in lay leadership capacities including Chair of the Long-Range
Planning Committee and the Finance Committee, Director of Religious
Education and member of the religious education committee. He has
served on the church board and as church treasurer. Stan has served as
Co-Chair of the Central Midwest District (CMwD) Leadership Development
Committee (LDC); he also served as a (LDC) consultant primarily working
with ministerial search committees. He first attended the First
Unitarian Church in Hyde Park in 1957.
A
graduate of the University of Illinois with a BS in accounting, he has
done graduate work in sociology and has an MBA in Finance from the
University of Chicago. He has been in business financial management for
over 40 years.
Stan
has served as Trustee and former Chair of the Board of Trustees of
Midwestern University, parent of the Chicago School of Osteopathic
Medicine. He also has served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of
International House at the University of Chicago and is a past
President of the Hobart, Indiana Plan Commission. He is a former
member of the Board of Planned Parenthood of Northwest Indiana, and is
listed in "Who's Who in America." Stan is very active with the
Community Theatre Guild (CTG) in Valparaiso Indiana. |
