Anthony B. Pinn, PhD

Dr. Anthony B. Pinn received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, and the Master of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School.  He also earned an MA and PhD from Harvard University.

Anthony is the Agnes Cullen Arnold Professor of Humanities and Professor of Religious Studies at Rice University.

His teaching and research interests include African American Humanism, African American Religious Thought, and Religion and Popular Culture. He is the author/editor of sixteen books.
