3. The Community
The Meadville Lombard community is a close-knit group of students, partners, faculty, staff, and children who play together, worship together, and eat together. Students, partners, and children gather for events such as $1 Shake Night, cheap films at the University of Chicago, shopping trips and more. The centerpiece of the Meadville Lombard community is our weekly vespers service, where students, faculty, our Minister in Residence, and guests lead the community in worship. Every vespers is followed by conviviality and we often gather for dinner, games, or a movie afterward. There is a strong and active group for partners and spouses, and ML prides itself on being a great place for children and all sorts of families. Some students live in Meadville Lombard housing, and almost all residential students live in Hyde Park.
