Distinguished Alumni/ae
Among Meadville Lombard alumni/ae are numbered:
- The poet Carl Sandburg, who attended Lombard College
- Hundreds
of Unitarian Universalist ministers who have served as pastors of
churches large and small, and as denominational officials
- William F. Schulz, Executive Director of Amnesty
International and former president of the Unitarian Universalist
Association (1985-1993).
- O. Eugene Pickett, former president of the
UUA (1979-1985).
- George Huntston Williams, Hollis Professor
of Divinity Emeritus at Harvard University.
Our
alumni/ae also serve as chaplains in hospitals, counselors, and social
workers and some have returned to Meadville Lombard to serve as faculty
members, as administrators, and as president. |
